We eventually made it to Santa Fe, full of all kinds of excitement because we were finally going to meet Elliot- newest nephew and cousin. Sweet boy had just turned one and had managed to learn how to toddle to and fro prior to our arrival. Prior to the trip Sol had become quite accustomed to saying Elliot's name and thankfully transitioned from only saying he was not going to share with Elliot to "You're funny!" as Elliot jumped up and down on his bed. It was super sweet listening to the two of them in the bedroom- every once in a while there was a shriek from the one-year-old, quickly followed by a bossy, "Stop screaming Elliot!" from the two-year-old. They seemed to make great roomies, making me hopeful that one day when they attend K-State they'll be hanging out in the same pad.
Here's our host and hostess with their bundle of joy
We managed to make it to the Santa Fe farmer's market, but due to
some strong feelings from our boy, we spent the majority of our time at the park.
He dug the natural elements
Have I forgot to mention that Solomon's grandparents were also there?
It was awesome. Not only did they add to the laughter and joy, they also
watched the boys while the rest of us had a date night.
Cousin bath time was necessary. Not only were the two
of them cute together, but they were super cute together.
See? I told you so.
Elliot was very generous to share his toys with Sol.

Did you ever hear the one about the papa fish and the baby fish?
During one of the big meal prep times, the boys went out for a spin.
On their bikes. Afterwards we feasted. Pretty sure Brent and Liz
are on their way to becoming vegetarians.
I love this photo.
Good times.
There was a lot more stuff that happened in-between these photos. Stuff like the International Folk Art Fair. And walking around downtown. And eating delicious food. And feasting on salsa and chips and guacamole. And reminiscing. And walks to the park. And thunder. And lightening. And Trader Joe's. And the car ride home. But all that stuff? They'll just have to stay plastered in my mind's eye. But believe me- they make for some pretty good pictures.
